About Gather
Gather is a community website built around sharing ideas, everyday moments, creative work, photos, videos, and conversations. The aim is to make it easy for people to publish a thought, discover other perspectives, and continue a discussion without needing to build a separate website of their own.
What you can do on Gather
Members can create a profile, write posts, attach supported media, reply to discussions, follow other members, save posts, and manage their own account preferences. Public profiles and posts help visitors understand the conversations happening on the service. Some features require signing in.
Explore News
Explore has two different parts. The automatic headline area lists headline metadata and links readers to the original publisher; it is a discovery feature, not a replacement for the source article. Gather's editorial area is managed separately and is intended for original summaries, context, and perspectives with clear source attribution when reporting factual news.
Readers should open the linked source for full reporting and the latest developments. Gather may correct or remove editorial material when errors are identified.
Community expectations
Gather works best when members contribute in their own words, respect other people, avoid spam, and do not publish content they have no right to share. Read our Community Guidelines before posting.
Independence and contact
Gather is an independent community project. It is not a substitute for the original publishers linked in Explore News, and a link to an external source does not mean that publisher endorses Gather. Questions, corrections, and privacy requests can be sent through our Contact page.
